Thumbs down The 2 Marks about to pull the pin on AN administration.

Reported on the 3AW Rumour file this morning that the 2 Marks wanted to resign from the asministration. Mark Mentha apparently rang in later to say that they "hadn't made a final decision either way" (or words to that effect).

If Andersens pull out, then it's curtains for any decent return to creditors. A fire sale will ensue & SACL will probably win out. DJ, if they choose to, would then lease the space they want, rather than buy the lot.

Just another knife in the back....

I think the question was whether they were going to resign from Andersens which is about to be merged with E&Y. I have a feeling that the administration would follow them rather than Andersens.

Talking For accontants them two good blokes..

I feel sorry for those guys. I have never seen an administrator(s) fight so doggedly for all involved. They both deserve a pat on the back..Kinda restores faith in accountants...
I'm suprised they hung in so long.Life is too short!

Good job chaps....

Regarding impact on Hazo's and Kendell if the Andersen administration of AN collapses.

There would be no impact on Hazo's. From the beginning, Hazo's has been administered by Sims Lockwood Pty. Ltd. and regardless of what you read in th papers or in any other forum, the AN administration has had no effect on HAZO's because of the totally separate administration. In fact, Sims Lockwood is sueing Arthur Andersen (on behalf of Hazo's) for alleged incorrect distribution of funds from the original ANZ payout.

Kendell, however, is a very different story. It is being managed directly by Andersen as one of the few AN entities still trading (along with the Simulator centre and aspects of AN engineering). Presumably if Ansersens full-out, Kendell would be impacted.

Cool

Pullpowa, what have you been smoking? The Administrators have made a fortune from their Administrating, more than I or you will ever earn in aviation. They should sack themselves before someone else does. Roll on Royal Commission.

p.s. Someone has stolen my Super, I want it back, not 70% or up to 90% but all of it including interest!!

Cheers 1A. I got it second hand & didn't know the context of the statements.

Zoolander, I'm with you. 100% is what I want. Are you grabbing the 70% offered now, or waiting? I wonder whether taking 70% now would prejudice our getting the full entitlement? Also, if everyone took the offered amounts, would that wind up the fund? Annoying the questions all this raises, isn't it!
