Spirit Airlines
Does anyone know what the go is with Spirit? I see on their website they say they are 'coming in 2002"... does anyone know when?? Do they have any aircraft stashed away?? What are their planned launch destinations? Have they already started recruiting, and if not, when will they? They've been pushing back launching for a few years now, will they ever get off the ground?
Any ideas???

The link above is for Spirit Airlines in the US. The so called Australian "Spirit Airlines" is located at www.spiritairlines.com.au .
The have updated their website in the last 12 months since I saw their site last. I had some contact with one of their top people a long time ago and i still think they are dreaming.
Possibly a virtual airline on steroids.....

OK guys - coming in 2002?
Lets look at it this way - easter is passed,Christmas is only a short time away (just blink twice - it'll come quicker than you think!) and QF has the market tied up along with VB.
No AOC,no marketing,no press releases as to route structure,aircraft types,terminal facilities,fare structures etc etc etc.
And just who is running this show and putting up the virtual dollars into this virtual airline with its non-existant staff and no aircraft?
