Steve Waugh Sacked!!
Just seen on channel nine that Steve Waugh has been sacked as the One day captain....what a joke, i guess the selectors needed somebody to blame for the tri-nation series.. . <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="mad.gif" border="0">

You claim that your location is Melbourne, Australia, and yet you question the relevance of Giddy Up's post!? If you truly were an Australian you would realise that this is the biggest piece of breaking news since that week in September last year.
S.Waugh will go down in history as one of the most influential Australians we've ever had the pleasure of seeing run around on a piece of grass and if you had any trace of true blue Aussie blood in you then you wouldn't have made such a ridiculous post.
I for one, along with Millions of other PPRuNe readers, both here and abroad, was both shocked yet enlightened by Giddy Up's post.
So who's going to be the next skipper??

I think Gilchrist will get the nod as one day Captain even though it will kill his game. Ponting should be the next Captain. He has matured and is playing very well. Well done, Steve Waugh, what a terrific cricketer. This is a sad day. Almost as bad as when Allen Border left the captaincy.

I think what the Night Owl really meant is what does Steve Waugh's dismissal from the Captaincy position have to do with Aviation in Australasia.
