Trevor Jensen No Longer with AN/ANZ
I am an ex AN Flight Dispatcher.
Can anyone recall a very recent Oz/NZ newpaper article stating something like some senior execs got the flick from Air NZ and that Trevor Jensen "resigned" from AN/Air NZ as Flying Ops Manager. Some of my FD buddies think I'm dreaming; I don;t think I am.

Last I heard he'd left NZ but had stayed with AN. Apparently he was considered at one stage for CEO role. Don't know where he is now but I'd heard (can't remember where) that he was required to stay with AN during administration period as AOC was in his name!?

Yes TJ is the ex Vice President of Flight Operations of AN/ANZ. What is precisely his new handle now is not clear but it may not be as high falutin as before. Perhaps QF want him back.
This is nonsense about the Ansett AOC being in his name. You can view the AOC via the CASA site. Only name on it apart from Ansett Australia is the signature of the CASA officer who signed it. However various Flight Department positions have to be held by approved persons for example the Chief Pilot has to have CASA approval as do Check Captains.
If he is not available or deemed unsuitable by the new owners no doubt there are others most probably more capable of performing the corresponding duties.
But, I believe he is still hanging about and perhaps hopeful of some lesser position than CEO which has already been allocated.
GAPAN is an association of aviators with no direct business standing of any kind. You can apply to join and if of good character and some kind of aviator you will be accepted. It is a kind of self promoted mutual back slapping exercise. If you like that kind of thing...go for it!

Maybe Trev won the "Legend In His Own Mind" award. It would have to be a very small award though, 'cause there's only room for very small legends in small-minded people.
Didn't Ian Dury dedicate some songs to our friend? "There Ain't Half Been Some Clever Bastards" and "Clevor Trever" spring to mind. Maybe playing those dulcit little ditties in the elevator would have improved his demenour whenever he was in town.

Skol, I don't need to reply to you, to the best of my knowledge you are neither my Mother or my Father and I don't give a toss what information you might or might not have on any subject.
TJ is OK. An Australian who has actually achieved something in the petty devisive world of so called professional pilots. He should be given an AO and earmuffs in case Skol may cross his path.

Whether you like him or not, respect him or not, you must admit that TJ is a survivor. He’s been around through more AN management shuffles than most FO’s have had hot dinners
TJ's survival has come at a big cost to others. He only cares about one thing, his 9 foot tall ego. There are good reasons why some of the management loved having him around.
