Post northern calling

G'day guys and girls,

I am about to head north (as you do) and would appreciate it if anybody out there would email me if they would like to help out and show me around their town/airport/drinking holes. Anybody with useful anecdotes on their time spent in Nothern WA and check ride experiences would be appreciated. Places to stay would also be of some help to me!

regards AS

There's been quite a bit of info on Kununurra and the like posted before. Try doing a search for it and you should find heaps.

as, from my experiences, there are too many pilots who descend on kununurra every year. i would say that darwin is a better place to start.

Not much to choose from until you get up towards Broome. Then the options improve however you must be prepared to sit it out for a season somewhere if needed and wait for your chance. Its very competetive up north but once you get in the door, hours in the log book won't be a problem. Train your liver well!

Exclamation

*Rumour* in Darwin is that a certain CP will only see prospective pilots if you look like one !

Long pants and a shirt guys/gals - no bars required though !

Good luck - keep trying - be polite. You'll make it!!

See you in the bars around Darwin

Fizzzzzz

Thanks guys,
Found a fair bit of info when i searched under `north', not sure whether I am a UGAL or an EGAL, considering im not getting many hours where I am at the moment, but hopefully the experience that I have gained will count for something.

Any of you that want to email me so that I will have somebody to know when I get `there', which will be soon, please do...

contact me at [email protected]

Stuntdriver and Phatty, you're not the best pilots I've ever seen, but you have nice personalities.
