Post Kilmore AWS -- info for those traversing "the gap"

Don't know if this is published anywhere, but the Kilmore, Victoria AWS station (BoM) that you see data from on the Airservices Internet site, broadcasts (at relatively low power) on VHF -- freq 128.6. .. .Will give you current vis, cloud base (has ceiliometer) and QNH. . .. .Cheers.

Kilmore Gap is like a black snake in dodgy weather guys.. .. .It can the Oz equivalent of the notorious PNG blind valleys.. .. .It seems not to have claimed any victims lately and I wonder if that is because the traffic is down or the training is better?. .. .Anyone.. .. .Be extra careful there.
