Gaunty,. .. .I knew Noel quite well in the late 70s when he operated as Australian Aviation Academy at Essendon Airport ... an email address for him would be appreciated greatly if that were possible ... it would be good to make contact again with Noel after quite a few years.

Headset, that was Tony Roberts. He devised a differential locker activated by air for four wheel drives and went and concentrated on that. It was known as the Roberts Air Locker. I believe that ARB now make them and it is a huge success both here and overseas.

One of Many Instructors
I was with Laurie from '75-'76 (after doing my CPL and FIR there), I came in straight after after `Faheel' and Robin Pickhaver, so I think I was No. 4 at the time.
Sounds like Laurie still does the right thing and keeps on giving the young blokes a job when nothing else is around. So KXI still lives on.....
Tony Roberts down at the `Caves' at Royal Vic was the absolute best in teaching SCPLs as was Roy Thorpe for the CIR flt training (and a gentleman to boot including his partner in crime then, Terry Fogarty!)

Tony is living on his property in S/W Victoria. He currently flys a Beech 18, C182 Wren and has recently acquired a Beaver in need of a fair bit of TLC.
