Post QF 737's to KGI,KTA & BME

A story was recently published in Qantas News about 737's taking over the current Qantaslink 146 routes to KGI, KTA & BME.
Given that NJS has just recently increased the PER base to almost double it's original size, due to all the extra flying picked up from the AN collapse, does anyone know what will happen now that those routes are no longer? Will crews just be sitting around on reserve? Will there be redundancies? Or are there other things in the pipeline?
Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers.
CT

CT, I believe Q/link will still be going to all those places albeit alot less than they do currently, I don't think anything like redundancies or transfers will be happening too soon as nothing is in concrete ( eg. how long the 73s will be doing those routes ).
As far as Virgin is concerned, good luck with KA, without Woodside they will have the same lousy loads as Q/Link used to, not to good on a 140 seat A/C. Might do alright on KG and BRM though, and that could be good for the guys and gals of NJS.

Question

Is NJS doing the Argyle charters now that Ansett is out of the picture?

We heard the 737's are extra capacity to these destinations. We also heard they are to free up some 146's for other work into some of the other towns like Port Hedlandetc etc.

EPIRB,

I know QANTAS 737's are doing some of the ARGYLE flying, but not how much.

As for Virgin operating on the West Coast, I wouldn't hold your breath. I think when they look at it carefully as QANTAS did there is just not enough people.

(There I go againg mentioning the V word >:~I )

Edited for poor spelling!
