What a bunch of whingers

The survival of the fittest is a good definition of Darwinian Capitalism. That people, is what we live under. It is the only economic system that appears to be sustainable in the long term. (Ask the Russians)

Is it a fair system? NO.

The remark that I have deleted is not appropriate W

What can replace it?

Darwinian Capitalism will always place pressure on salaries/costs. That is the only way to grow and without growth you have stagnation, which inevitably leads to death.

Pilots salaries will continue to slowly go down. Too much supply - it is a fun job. Don't expect to be huge sums to have fun in the future. That is the ugly truth.

Make sure your kids go to school and study, because knowledge not skills is what will put food on the table.

It's a shame as well as very disappointing that you have zero compassion for the 16000 (plus more) people that lost their jobs. You obviously had no close friends involved or you may have an insight to the heartache they are experiencing.
AN & QF were surviving.....until Branson "the spoiler" came in to stir the possum. Sure, he created jobs...but he also helped DESTROY 16000 jobs
That is hardly a compensation.
eisle, if you do work for VB, it must feel nice to have a job to go to BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY AUSTRALIANS THAT DON'T NOW partly beacause of that reckless pom you work for

Sour Grapes?? Absolutely

Lets get some things straight firewall,I have the utmost sympathy for ALL of those who now find themselves out of work due to Ansett's collapse,I wouldn't wish those curcumstances upon anyone.I do in fact know someone who lost there job within Ansett,as a family member was employed.
I do work for VB and YES it does feel nice to go to work each day thank you,and if you are trying to make me feel guilty or partly responsible for your current situation then dont bother because I DONT. Richard Branson didnt start Virgin Blue to brake Ansett,he entered the market to give Australians a choice of air carriers, and Im sorry if they chose Virgin over Ansett, but its not my fault.Qantas are still operating quite nicely so the way I see it,it is noones fault but Ansett's.
So dont blame "The reckless pom" that I work for, start looking at "The Fat pseudo Aussie " that headed up your company for some answers and stop blaming everyone else for Ansetts mistakes.

Fire arse 999.

I do believe Sherm Boy addressed you in his lucid dissertation on the state of Oz Aviation today, and the genisisof your woes.
You seem to have avoided addressing his points.
Please defend yourself and those with whom you lie.
We're waiting with baited breath.

I am, the guzzler.

On the 11th November,Ansett MK II will be dead in the water,no matter who is in power.
If the casualty was not 16000 aussie workers it would have died on the 12th September.

FACT FACT FACT !!!!

Keep the Faith:]
