Unhappy

I'm sure it will be a sad goodbye.

All the best wishes to the pilots who are continuing their careers with other Air Forces.

What is going to happen to the ground crews? Re-distributed around the RNZAF or made redundant?

RIP the Kiwi Air Combat Force.

It will be a sad day

Here's hoping for serviceable jets and fine weather.

God's speed.

Red face

And next time you cast your vote, remember today goes down in history as the day our prime minister betrayed her country, and destroyed the Air Force.

She should be tried for treason.

Evil Bitch.

Helen Clarke "Well(mans voice),with the money we have saved ridding ourselves of those clapped out Skyhawks we can nationalise AirNZ".

Proud aviation history aside,it`s one step forward, two steps back under NZ labor.

Hope the very capable A4 crews absorbed into the RAAF.

You GAVE them away.
Thats going to come as a big surprise to a lot of people who have been labouring under the misapprehension that you sold them.

I'll have you know Douglas, that I was bloody near drowned mate at 2:56 pm in Lower Hutt awaiting the flypast( much to the amusement of some!) which I knew from the weather I was unlikely to see.

Bugg-eur Helen, did she arrange the weather aswell? Still, I'll be at OH on Thursday morning, come rain or shine.

Question

am i just being paranoid or did anyone else feel nervous when the indian and chinese war ships rolled into nz ports, on "friendship trips", the same week that the final announcement about the A-4's was made.
with friends like these who needs enemies aye?

Thumbs down

Sorry Wellington! The wx off the coast was absolutely crappers and we couldn't safely get in with the 10 aircraft.
The plan is to try again at 1200 on Thursday. No promises though!
