FSU, judging by the quantity rather than quality of posts over the last couple of days, I'd say anything to do with 1989 might be coming to a close on PPRuNe.
How on earth did The Bear become a Captain with his rotten spelling? Thank God you bitter and twisted people are no longer in command of aircraft in Australia.. .All the best to the Ansett ground staff out there.

Beware hypocracy(sp)..........judge not all Australians by the actions of a few.....nor all pilots by those of a few.....and where is the compassion for the bitter and twisted.....it wouldn't be nice at all...nor ignorance. Best to know who is friend and who is fo.

Torres - I am with you. . .. .This is not the time to slag off at opposing factions. This is the final acceptance of our industry's loss of innocence.. .. .The loss of a national icon has nothing to do with '89 and glee at the distress of those who may have thought differently to you is in extremely bad taste.. .. .Please people - at this time of great stress for many look beyond old agendas and just mourn the passing of a part of Australia's history - and the end of many careers in commercial aviation.. .. .Just for one small pocket in time call an amnesty and let the last lady make her flight with no infighting and finger pointing.. .. .Recognise the flight for what it is. It is the final call for the industry that we knew.. .. .I suggest you read my amateurish attempt at prose in a post I have on here.
