Post Terrorist strike in Australia?

Just heard in the Herald Sun today that a guy named Mohammad Aforze was planning to fly a plane into the Rialto!

Yes he did learn to fly at one of the flying schools at Moorabbin, and yes he is as ugly as the photo on page four of the Sun.

Is he capable of piloting a plane into the Rialto? I don't think he was even capable of finding his way to the runup bay. He would be more likely to head south from Moorabbin, which means poor Frankston would get it.

Didn't have the pleasure of flying with him, but certainly observed him from a distance. For a dedicated terrorist his attendance was shocking, I am suprised he passed terrorism 101.

Tell us more Iceblock about this lunatic. However, maybe you should lose the humour, nothing funny about it.

anyone here remember "sard the bald Egyptian" from the S.I.T. college in sydney a few years back ?
I was a bit concerned when several people repeatedly mentioned this name during a recent party (grogged up and uninhibited , people tend to speak some revealing truths)

any comments?

It looks like a previous instructor has decided to step forward and give all the details according to the Herald Sun this morning. Enough said...

Perhaps I'm just a little paranoid, but has anyone else noticed that, on all the news bulletins I've seen since Thursday evening, the file footage used is always that of the AN CRJ200 simulator shot when it was "inaugurated" by John Brumby last February?
Poor old AN just can't take a trick, can we, or is it just my paranoia showing?

Kind regards,

TheNightOwl.

On a slightly different tack, perhaps we should give at least passing thought to the Weekend Australian editorial column today;

"Memo Phillip Ruddock: The alleged terror threat to Australia came from a man who arrived legally on a visa, not illegally on a boat."
