STAFF CV SUCCESS?
Anybody with low hours ie 1000-1500 had any success with the Staffcv system. Seems like the way to the future however it could restrict those with experience at the lower end of the spectrum

Guys, for what it's worth, all pilots that have been and are currently being hired by Eastern come from the Staffcv process. They no longer accept paper CV's for initial contact.
IMHO, using this medium is no more or less likely to get you a job, in the sense that if you meet the current selection criteria you will be contacted at some stage.
Bear in mind that there are a lot of pilots available at the moment with "higher levels" of experience, and yes it (sadly) is affecting the prospects of those lower down the ladder.
DWR, it reminds me of 1989 when I was looking for my first job with less than a thousand hours under my belt. It made things very difficult, but I just kept chipping away at it. The cycle is repeating itself again, albeit under different circumstances.
Hang in there. But whether you like using Staffcv or not, you've got to be in it to win it....

Hey Jarse, what is the criteria for Eastern when they search the StaffCV database?
I have well above the required minimums, yet mine never seems to be looked at manually..
Just curious mate...I'd love to get into a Dash-300 series.

VoodooGuru,
I'm not sure what exactly gets flagged for selection. I'm not involved in that part of recruiting.
However, pilots with regional experience feature among the majority of those chosen for interview at the moment.
I'm probably stating the obvious, but perhaps a call to whoever is responsible for recruiting might further your cause?
