Post LAHSO in Darwin - Getting Approved

To all pilot's operating in and out of Darwin. The age old problem of getting LAHSO approval appears to be at an end. There is someone in town who can conduct the training which takes around 20 minutes of your time and requires no actual flying. It is a brief and brief back exercise followed by a P-chart question to see if you know how much room you need. There is a small fee involved which pays for the examiners' time and covers the tear off strip for your log book. For more details, please contact the ATC Aviation Liaison Officer at RAAF Darwin. His email address is [email protected] and he will be happy to pass on the contact details and attempt to answer any questions you have. To finally get more pilots approved will aid in sequencing in Darwin which should relate to less delays and track miles. <img src="cool.gif" border="0">
