Is there a link? QF, AN MII and airbus
I pose this question!
Since the terminal leases now seem to be ironing themselves out, the latest news reports are turning there interest to fleet issues.
Q. Are the fleet issues, negotiations that are to be discusses with airbus, and if so, how much pressure is QF able to bring to bear on airbus to further QF's own?
eg. QF says to airbus: You boys think long (and I mean long) and hard about these leases with Tesna, or as possibly the only , sustainable, future airbus operator in Oz we (QF) will not be happy.

T-Bone, could you do us a favour and edit the post to a higher standard of grammar so that some of us could understand the question? or statement?
No insult intended, read it again and you'll know what I mean
Cheers. .Jimbo

JJ,
Hear hear. I thought I was being a grammatical prude until my thoughts were corroborated by your post. T-bone...I got gist of your post however it's not exactly grammatically smooth. In answer to your musing...I doubt whether Airbus could afford to reject 3 billion dollars circa of business to enter into conspiratorial 'goodwill' with QF.

You've got to love reporters.
So what has TESNA actually purchased. Some articles say they have bought some 30 aircraft, I think though the more realistic scenario is this is a MOI or letter of understanding - costs nothing but their time and provides not only a smoke screen for their meetings in LHR but also might induce some confidence in TESNA's future, for which there has been little of late. Thus helping out the 2M's and reducing the risk of them just pulling the plug on the whole deal?? <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
