Dude,
CPL is valid from the date of issue, and is 'perpetual'. . .As for currency, you have to have done a BFR (Biannual Flight Review), and for carrying pax on commercial ops, u have to have completed 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 90 days. If its at night, u have to be night current as well. . .A class 1 medical is valid for 1 year.
cheers. .giddy

A couple of points.
1. The BFR ceased to be a while back, it is now an Aeroplane Flight Review (AFR) for fixed wing.
2. Biannual means TWICE a year. Biennial means ONCE every two years.
3. 90 day currency applies to carriage of ANY passengers NOT just commercial ops.
4. For Commercial ops don't forget about DG Awareness course, valid for 2 years.
Dude have you tried reading the CAR section 5.104 onwards? <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
If you don't have a copy try CASA website.
