The hypocracy of PPRuNers (some?.... many? but not all)
PPRuNe used to be a wonderful aviation oriented site. For me it has now become a place full of hate for, Kiwis, Afghans, Arabs & people of different political, religious or other beliefs.
Rarely now do we see a debate on an issue. Almost without fail it falls to hate and bitterness.
I cannot believe the number of anti Kiwi comments over the demise of AN. Kiwis didn't cause AN to collapse, that was a combination of past and present management and probably, if the truth be know, an inability to respond to a changing business climate in a timely fasion.
The number of hateful responses towards Arabs &, Muslims etc, shows that many of the people making the comments are no better than the terrorists who perpertrated the ghastly events in The U.S. last week. They show no more compasion to fellow man than did the terrorists.
Calls for Emirates not to be the rescuer of AN defy belief! Why shouldn't they? Are you LAME suggesting that Emirates orchestrated the demise of the WTC? What sound reason could there be to deny Emirates?
How sad that so much energy goes into being angry and not allowing a contrary point of view. If we can't show one another understanding, how the hell do you expect others to understand us?

As I've said before and I say again. As a AN staff member; we dont hate kiwis just ANZ management and the stupid comments that the NZ PM makes on TV like"silly". She needs to know the full story, obviously she does not. Like AN the NZ PM has been kept in the dark by ANZ.
To sweeten the picture they should at least pay us for the work we have done in the last 2 weeks. Many will lose houses, partners and have their lives ripped apart because of the ANZ incompetance.
AND what ticks me off the most is that they have known this would happen for at least 6 months!!!!

Well I was reading it through and agreeing with it all, right up until you dragged me into it?????????
I love the way you twist it to suit yourself, I merely agreed with a PREVIOUS POSTER that it may not be a good time for an Arab Airline to make a larger presence in Australia?????????? What the hell is wrong with saying that???????????? IT IS TRUE.
Anyway have just been watching Fox News from the USA, and Afghanistan have now declared a Holy War against the USA and all its Allies, calling for the support of all Arabs and Moslems, so NOW I am definitely opposed to it.
Some of them did this Mass Murder in Manhattan, now THEY declare War on us???????
I hope the Americans wipe them all off the face of the Earth...............

Either lame has missed the point of this thread, or it's a deliberate attempt by him to drag this thread into the gutter.
Why? All because CC is exercising his right to an opinion about "certain people's" unprofessional behaviour on PPRuNe.
And really, lame, I can't beleive that you were agreeing to what CC is saying since you have been the instigator of many of the hate threads here.

Here we go AGAIN, now I started the hate threads........

I merely posted some direct cut and pastes from NZ Newspapers, the hate developed from that.
I even tried to calm those threads down last night and this is the thanks I get.......
I came on line this afternoon determined that if they were still the same, I would delete them, but I cannot because Woomera has locked them.

I don't want to have to lock this thread too. To diminish Capt C's thoughts would be a sad loss to us all.
I locked the other threads, not for the way they started, but the way they were going, as I keep saying I do not have the wit or brains to censor the tit for tat, post by post, when it gets too hard, I take the only action available to me. The padlock.
It's up to you to make sure that it doesn't get applied.

To be fair to Lame the thread that contained the word "stupid' was a direct quote from a news source, he did not invent the source, it was the quality of subsequent "discussion" towards the end that closed it.

I wish now I had followed what I said in my email to you a few weeks ago, when I was then also subjected to much personal abuse, I think I will now, PPRuNe is NOT what is was any more.

I too have worked in many places throughout the World, always enjoying the experiences, and working with all sorts of different races of people with no problems.
I do not know exactly where you work, but I heard here today that there have been massive resignations, in particular Australians, from the Airline mentioned previously in this post........
I hasten to add, NOT for any racial reason, because of the threat of war.

I think it's time to realise that the World Trade Centre attack was not carried out by the Muslims of the world, or the Arabs of the world. It was carried out by a small group of extremists who do not represent the main stream of Muslims or Arabs, and should not be grouped with them. True Muslims believe that suicide is just about the worst sin that a Muslim could commit.
As for Ansett, whilst it appears that AN has been raped and pilaged by experts, I again say that we should not blame the Kiwis. The board of Air NZ, and to some extent Miss H Clarke can be blamed, but bear in mind, the board of Air NZ is made up of at least 3 nationalities, and their conduct has nothing to do with their nationality.
So, feel free to blame those responsible, but don't assume that all people are the same, because thats not true and not just.

Thank you for restoring some perspective to the plethora of threads in this forum at the moment. At the moment Dunnunda bears a striking resemblance to a diamond mine...a very small number of gems surrounded by an enormous overburden.
As an addicted "miner" in Dunnunda, your post is the sparkle that hints of future gems as yet undiscovered. I for one will keep digging!

PS I was about to start a career with one of the failed companies.
My partner has been waiting for 6 weeks pay owed to her,from a company she worked her arse off for.
The most liked person in the view of Pilots other F/A's and the Ops Staff her drive has ,suffice to say, been dashed!
I didn't get to even start mine.
If the current Airline Pilots don't move on I won't be moving for quite a while so as a result I am now considering moving over to Study Engineering in order to make a living in aviation which is relatively safe.
This predicament is like a BURNT STEAK , SMALL , TOUGH , AND THE CHIPS ARE ALWAYS STACKED AGAINST IT!!!!!!
Pizzez you off how you dedicate your career only to have it Shifted from under you.
I now drink Calming Camomile tea and hope things may somehow pick up?

Very true Capt. Well said. And when one looks at all the misguided hatred in the world it should leads us all to stop and look around our own little worlds just a bit and ask ourselves if the petty little conflicts we allow to rage on from day to day are really worth the probable end result. A broader peace with the world will have to begin much closer to home for many people.
