Indo to India
Is there a GA scene anywhere from Indonesia to India, if so would or do they hire pilots from oz or is it most likely there own kind?

from what I saw at Borneo, yes there is. Quite a bit of it in fact. The upper end that I saw (offshore helicopters and large RPT props)did have some expat pilots and engineers from various countries. I don't think that the pay was good at all in Australian terms (I did ask around a bit)but it was quite adequate for that part of the world.
I think that the trick would be to go there and have a look, that in it's self aint too dear either
