Arrow Virgin Blue plane struck by lightning

Can anyone confirm that a VB plane was struck the other day causing millions of dollars worth of damage. Apparently the tech crew failed to see the storm on their radar and flew into it <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

I'll chance it with Ansett thanks.

Lightning doesn't strike planes just because they aren't Ansett planes.

I've seen aircraft hit when all precautions were being taken.

Most of your info is bull****. I agree with kiwicone head...probably never of an AN plane getting struck because they don't report it as they should. That would fit in with the past practices regarding maintenance wouldn't it?
