Hey, GoGirl, nice to hear from you!

I think that AN have already replaced the CRJ with BA46 on the BNE CBR run!

What should KD do with the CRJs? Replace the SAABs with them on shorter routes!

On the news last night they said Virgin Blue's next ports will be Rockhampton, Mackay and Cairns. Rocky and Mackay are currently CRJ ports. I see that Kendells/Ansett have 3 choices re the CRJS, they are;
1. Continue operating them to their current ports and lose passengers to Qantas and soon Virgin Blue.
2. Operate them to ports where the Saab's are flying to ie Wagga, Albury, Coffs Harbour etc. That would then give them and advantage over Qantaslink.
3. Sell or lease the aircraft overseas. Ansett have done this in the past with the F50.

The SMH on Friday said that Ansett could shed 3000 staff very soon and drop regional ports.

Hey boosta,

You didn't happen to work for KD in the past, but in another role by any chance?

Just a hunch.

Cheers,
TL

Anyone know what AN/KD rumour we are up to now. I've lost count. Was it 50 pilots, maybe it was 100. 1 SAAB out of Adelaide or was it 2. Gee maybe the whole place will close down. Heard Air NZ was replacing flight crew with sheep. I'm sick of hearing the rumours, my suggestion is to wait till the big announcement day to start worrying. Does anyone REALLY know whats going on?

FlightWest or Ansettlink to expand. Have heard that the plans are there...its all about finding the right jets.

They seem to be the flavour of the month at the moment for management.

Virgin to do AN's loss making routes - if you listen to management then they will be doing every sector!!

Take your seats there's turbulence ahead!
