Question Radio Around Tindal

I'm collecting information on incidents around Tindal with the HF and VHF radio.

If you've had trouble with the communications links that have led to any kind of incident, or potential incident i'd like to know as I'm putting together a report to send to Airservices.

Identities will be kept under wraps if requested, but the more specific that you can be, then the more convincing I can be.

I'm not CASA, but a pilot given the task to research some problems that our company has been having......

This is your chance to make a constructive comment..

Fission, I had a near miss turning final RW 32 last Nov. 122.6 was congested with 8 other frequencies being rebroadcast ( I asked). Relevant local calls were blocked resulting in a 404 launching off 14 at us. Luckily the 404 had lights on and I saw him. An incident report was sent to ATSB.. .email me at [email protected] if you want more.

Just Fun, . .Wouldn't circuit separation be arranged on the MBZ (119.7)? I know 122.6 when it is linked is like listening to a horse race commentator, but when I was going in there if there was circuit traffic then the MBZ took priority. . .P.S- My observations only, no criticism/blame laying intended.

Fission,. . Only problem I've had there in the past has been "Quietales'" dodgy radio calls! . .Catch up with you soon mate.
