Startup date for Spirit?

Does anyone know the startup date for Spirit Airlines?. .Where they will try to operate and what the fleet will be?

Spoke with someone claiming to be close to management recently and they indicated that it won't happen because VB are filling that niche and also the current aviation climate.

The website, however, says they are starting this year.
