"PPruNe"ers at WOW2002?
So many from here making the expedition south to Warbirds Over Wanaka 2002 (Easter)??
If so why don't we organise a "gathering" at a local establishment??
Anyone keen?
I hear that they've have got a Grumman Wildcat attending along with the usual Spitfire, Hurricane, Polikarpov's, etc., etc. (first show WITHOUT RNZAF jets attending!!).

Aye, looking forward to it. After saying "I'm going" for the last 3 shows, I have finally got my arse into gear and got my tickets and leave sorted.
Still waiting for my photo's Kermie, Blueline.

I'm taking the scenic route and about 10 days to get to Wanaka, beside's I don't think the wife will be impresed if you tagged along on our "honeymoon" <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> . Other than that, it wouldn't be a prob.

Oh yeah I forgot . .I don't think she'd mind to much. I mean I don't mind sleeping on the ground beside the bed <img src="tongue.gif" border="0"> .. .But 10 days is a tad on the slow side, so I guess its just you & the misses

Saw Zippy today, rolled on up in his 206 with his boss. He lost my card, so expecting photos through any day now. Blueline, I should know soon whether Im coming down, will try to divert your way if I do to pick you up. You bring the rum Ill bring the coke.

Now I'm REALLY looking forward to the show...'cos judging by the response there will only be 5 people going!!
No queues, tons of elbow room, plenty of good viewing positions...
Wonder what else is going on that weekend 'cos most of the accomodation, etc is booked out!
Going to be great, almost like a "private warbirds show" for a select few!!

If it's anything like the last one, then add a few zeros to that 5.... .Had a blast at the last show, wish I could stretch to doing it again, got a bunch of digital pics from 2000 if anyone is interested...

Solved the accomodation problem...renting a campervan...now if I could just get it on top of that hill behind the airfield...what an excellent position to view from...not to mention the view from your "bedroom window" on the Sunday morning...Anyone know the Landowner's contact details??
If there are only 5 of us going then the 'van may be a great location for a micro-bash...at least I won't have to drive anywhere!@!!! Mind you, I could just park outside the pub....mmmmmmm Fanta!
