Time to liquidate Ansett??
Evertonian
Not categorically aiming point.
But they haven't made lots of money looking after staff have they. I'm just pessimistic. The ACTU have done all sorts of deals over this, but, at the end of the day, if it goes A over T again, who knows what scam will be used to get out of the deal.
Resignation is as with any company u resign from...no extra benefits. I agree with what I think u are implying. AN failed & we are all redundant. Tesna should've started afresh & every one would've/should've gotten their entitlements. They would have no problems slashing the wages & telling the FF's where to go (not that its stopped them anyway!!).

wonder if that Capt sat on the fence so comfortably during the dispute too.Swooping in when the time was right.
F/Os and junior Capts must rally against APA,otherwise self-scented morons like this will further ruin AN as a career.

Y'know, it never ceases to amaze me how these characters who were happy to be a scab, and wave goodbye to pilots who had to go overseas in '89/'90, now become bleeding hearts when, as a result of their ferocious greed back then, now take a contract offshore.. .The character who writes from Japan will just have to live with the actions he first made when he scabbed, and now with the decision he made to go overseas.. .I'll bet London to a brick he did not give one nanosecond of thought to those who had to do it as a result of him being a scab.

Omigod, I wait in expectation for Kaptain M’s reply to our nameless hero-san. That’s if he manages to log on ahead of the padlock.
My detailed opinion of the letter NICEONE kindly transcribed for us would best be posted privately, but an observation if I may: over the last twelve years, these heroes have acquired skins so thick I don’t think there’s physically room under the epidermis for any trace of humanity. To preach to out of work FOs from his very well paying contract job in Japan about his plight over having to leave his homeland simply beggars belief.
Someone tell me the letter’s a wind-up. It has to be. Even an AN uber-hero couldn’t be as insensitive as that prat-san has demonstrated himself to be.

What goes around comes around!. .It would have been better if Ansett had been wound up and peoples entitlements paid out, then a new and fresh ansett could have risen with a clean slate...

Liquidate and a huge shortfall in entitlements.
No wind up,posted on APA discussion forum.
Awaiting KaptM`s response & advice.Should junior pilots give up and go elsewhere;there are a few opportunities at the moment.

A new thread The "heroes" of Ansett 1989-2002. has been started to allow those who wish to discuss the liquidation issues to do so, without sidetracking it. . .Such a thoughtful chap, am I.

Just for starters, for every $10 the Administrators waste by underwriting FLEW/TESNA, is another $10 of AFTER TAX income that comes out of the pocket of the Australian travelling public.. .Its become a total scam!

Okle, I believe it was you that stated on another thread recently that the only money that the Administrators had received was the $150 million from ANZ. You seem to have inside information, what has happened to the $195 Million that the government gave to the administrators to pay out the staff? Maybe you could explain to us why none of it has been paid out (at least to the Pilots). I also have inside information and have seen at first hand the crap that has been fed to the staff. They have mostly been brainwashed and intimidated by people like you into believing the fairy tales handed out by Tesna and the ACTU. Roll on Royal Commission.
for the scabs, too bad. .for the ones that made it up the lader, the hard way, get on with your life, look elsewhere, try something diferent, flying buses is, at the end of the day rather boring, well paid maybe yes, maybe not, anymore. once you made it to the airline, you proved a point, the ones with spinal fortitude will seek a new challenge, the ones that got there by default, will try to hang on in there at all cost, even their fellow workers. you do not want to work with people like that. i did it, a lot of other people have also done it before me and will do again and again. ansett is death. if it is resurected it will be for the wrong reasons. do you want to work for such an entity? do you want to work with the majority of those pilots that have been asked to stay, FOR THE WRONG REASONS. move onnnnnnnnnn
