I completely agree. My dad's not paying heaps of money for my training only to have me to go and wash airplanes. When I get a job it will be as a real pilot, not a grease monkey.

If you're not prepared to do the extras in GA, then you won't be in GA. I don't suppose you're prepared to work anywhere except the capitals either?
Better get over it dude. You wanna fly aeroplanes, then you're gunna have to learn to clean them as well. When you're out of GA, then and only then, can you get choosy about what you will and won't do.
You have the opportunity to save your old man a lot of dough here, because if you've resolved already not to do anything but fly, then you won't be flying either.

well, I guess I can finish up with a final round of thanks. Personally, I learned a heap. As I said, I am all about learning from this website, it is a great pity that at times, mudslinging and people just out to be a pain in the arse, hijack threads bringing down the lock.
I came into Aviation not knowing anybody, and not knowing a helluva lot about "how it goes". I will be honest, I am not really expecting good news on the Wilpena job, but hey, thats life. If I never replied to the thread, I wouldnt have learned the lessons I now have.
