Question Maximum Age for Qantas DE

Further to an earlier topic about minimum age for Qantas DE, does anyone have a realistic "number" for the MAXIMUM age?

I know that age discrimination is meant to be a thing of the past and that equal employment and opportunity are the current 'buzz words', but there must be a point where Qantas reckons someone is too old and therefore will find some way to reject them legally.

Ideas/thoughts/opinions appreciated.

Roughly speaking, 30 is the mean age of the four hundred plus hired in the past three years, with an even spread of plus or minus ten years, and a few at each extreme end of 19(cadet) or early 40's. Most of the pilot's pushing or over forty have extensive turboprop/jet time or are ex-military.
