BRETT LEE BOWLS FOR ANSETT
Australian opening bowler Brett Lee feels somewhat aggrieved at the treatment of Ansett workers by AirNZ and the NZ government.
He indicated to former AN staff recently to watch out for a sizzling, short pitched opening spell against the NZ batsmen he referred to as sheep f$@#kers.
Brett stated that if there wasn`t much in the Brisbane pitch he would save it up for the Perth Test.Brett promised a four over barrage to staff, the commencement of which would be indicated by the polishing of the ball with a Ansett embroided hankerchief.
Brett was the star of the Ansett "absolutely" campaign

Cairns, HA,HA,HA thats a good one. Look at the scoreboard mate. Ian Smith said on the comentary that this is the best side the Kiwis can field HA,HA,HA. Maybe the selectors are the same people that selected the team to run Ansett!!
I had Gilchrist on a flight two weeks ago, he expressed the same sentiments as Lee and has already done his bit. Cairns can't bowl, lets see if he can bat. Only the rain can save you now.

You'd probably have more success at cricket if the board were in your team. This awful bunch you've sent over dont look to have the goods. You could say the same about your womens hockey and netball teams, not to mention your rugby boys. These continual humiliations on the world stage must surely affect your nations confidance and phyce. What are you guys like at lawn bowls or darts?

Ansett was a big supporter of sports, hence the sportsmen of Australia have a bit to do with AN,whether through advertising(Brett Lee) or a fancy to some of our beautiful girls(Warney).
Sprucegoose, you are a nerd,or are you just a thin skinned Kiwi not enjoying the banter?

bulldog69.....wrong by a country mile, however that is consistent with most of your posts so I am not suprised. I look forward to your dissertation on just how the messy business of the AN collaps is in any way a fault or should be attributable to a team of cricket players or any other group of sports people from New Zealand. It surely doesn't make them a bunch of sheep f@&kers in and of itself. Enlighten me.

Sprucegoose,
if your wife is a Kiwi I apologise if your interpretation of my post insinuates you being a sheep........!Thats the type of sledging our slips corden is famous for.
Bit of Trans-Tasman tension is good for the fire in the belly of a fast bowler.Everyone notice that Ansett handkerchief;actually closer inspection suggests it maybe a F/A`s scarf. On that note Warney reckons QF recruit their girls from baggage handling,so he`s aggrieved at ANs demise too.
As BB mentioned, good to see the boys have taken things on board.

Wrong again bulldog69...as I said whats new.
I agree its good to have that fire in your belly in competition. What happened to the agro we used to have towards the cricket "enemy" just because they were the opposition? I still think that the whole AN issue is removed and irrelevant from cricket...indeed one might say that the whole affaire was just that, not cricket!
Your preoccupation with farm animals is a bit of a worry mate.

I think NZ teams deserve a little more credit than we are given. We can still hold our own against countries that are far larger than our own.
Boeingbelly and bulldog. Great to see that such an insignificant little country still goads at you everyday.
Get over it
