RAAF and QF Boeing 737 NGs
For those who are interested, the RAAFs two 737BBJ's are being outfitted now at Mc Connell Air Force Base, Wichita, KS.
The BBJ (B737-7DF(BBJ)) L/N 613, will be known as A36-001, BBJ (B737-7DT(BBJ)) L/N 738, will be known as A36-002, these airframes are owened by GE Capital.
Dont know the model differences, they have the same engine types CFM56-7B26, maybe its the number and type of listening devices installed
QFs second and subsequent 737NGs (the first being a B737-7X2 is leased to Air Fiji as DQ-FJF) will be known as VH-VXA to VXK.
They are Boeing B737-838 powered by CFM56-7B27's. VXA is L/N 1042, VXB 1045, VXC 1049, VXD 1063.

With the Boeing series designation, the model number is the series 7xx=700) & 2 alpha/numeric the client reference. Qantas for example has the client number 38 therefore their aircraft are a standard as 737-338; 767-338; 747-438; etc.).. .Leasing houses are also designated with their own client numbers. As an accountant even I can see the logic in this format. Boeing must be run by accountants.

This is the first pic of the new Qantas NG a/c. The winglets are yet to be fitted. Note the extra large " spirit of australia " titles.

Cainboy,
Understand that the winglets will be installed by after QF have accepted the aircraft, AA dont have winglets. The fourth and onwards airframes will have the winglets installed in the factory.
I have heard the Head Up Displayes are going to be turned off also.
