virgin blue discrimination III
We need to get this post back to the point. Now what exactly are the major points for Cabin crew to get hired by VB. I guess being a chic is important, but is chest size given more points than say a nice butt?
Pictures need to be posted people!!!!

Application Unsuccesful
We regret to advise you, your application has not been successful at this time.
Your details will be held on file.
Quietly translated; We do not have a List in our office however, when you fill in the previous employers information advising the dates you were employed by Ansett noting employed prior to 1989 or employed late '89 early 90 is equivalent to advising I AM A SCAB.
`On file" means after posting a copy on the humorous section of our crew room notice board the application is trashed.

Discrimination by VB??
Do I know about VB discrimination???
The answer is NO I DONT but,
Look who some of the executives are and maybe, just maybe there may be a clue... But remember these guys have worked overseas in other airlines with different recruiting procedures.
What I do know from successful applicants is that Virgin are looking a a certain kind of CAN DO attitude. If your outlook and attitude dont fit the company profile I feel your application will not be successful.
Good Luck to all and remember, as in any job application/interview, you need to persuade the recruitment people that you are the right person for their company! Do your research as it always pays off..

Claims of pilot employment discrimination by VB is drawing a very long bow indeed.
The pilots bleating about it now, were very happily employed by the defunct Ansett, blindly going about their dubious business, hoping that the new upstart would collapse as quickly as a couple of its predecessors in Compass and Southern Cross, aka Compass 2.
Make the most of these claims here.
If anyone is foolish enough to take it to a beak, some of us may be laughing at the court door after the judgement.
Somewhat like the laughter the scabs enjoyed, while they watched many former colleagues endure years of unemployment after '89.
