Mutt - The marketing team has been working overtime, and has got a fair bit of work lined up for the European summer.
I might be back at work in as little as two weeks, maybe the middle of next month though, not sure yet.

Well Taildragger67,
I'm quite the opposite as regards 'new generation' aircraft.
The other day I had to fly in a Malaysian A330 all the way from KL to BNE, I was nervous of that thing all the way, couldn't sleep a wink, just thinking about all the things that could go wrong, things that nobody had any control over, least ways the pilot, and, of course, no flight engineer; the system computers come a very sad second to a competant Flight Engineer.
Give me a B747/200/300 any time, much more comfortable.

And, the NOISE inside the cabin of that A330, the high frequency vibrations generated at cruise speeds, then there is that noisey flap drive motor, wakes everybody up every time, all worried about what the noise is!
Cheers

Aus flyer

Sorry for the delay in replying - my source unfortunately doesn't have enough detail on his background.

18Wheeler - Great pickies, it must have been fun doing the test flight. GB
