Warbirds Over Scone is GO
Well all the dramas have been resolved and we will now have one of the biggest Warbird rollouts ever seen in NSW if not Australia on Sunday September 30th, 2001.
Yes, the same day as Amberley.
We are offering:
Admission is a flat $5 for the practice day (Saturday) when there will be joyflights available in a Strikemaster; you could WIN a joyflight in the Strikemaster just by buying the souvenir Magazine.

BENDO ... eveytime I go to Birdsville I see that BLOODY sticker that you have left there. It will be forever ingrained in my memory, every last detail.

Bendo, got the email re camping, thanks. The only problem is that the number of people in our party keeps changing, so we are at present harrassing all of the local motels.

Hey peoples, I am just dropping a note to say I will be up at the warbird's. it is only a two and a half hour drive from where I live but there are a few people wanting to go neway... It would be cool to meet some ppruners. I guess the bar will have to be a meeting point of course... neway will see people there hopefully!

I am curious to hear of the compromise you made with the lying and backstabbing chaps at Amberley. Been the diplomatic and professional chap that you are I don't expect a reply but it would be nice to know of the dirty politics...
Good luck with it all! I'm from Brissie but wouldn't miss Scone for anything.

No compromises were made - Ministerial directives were issued. Airshows Downunder gave no quarter and we hear DAILY from people who have been told various misthruths by the organisers of Amberley.
These misthruths usually concern Number and quality of the aircraft scheduled to come to Scone, Rumours of cancellation or moved dates.
I am very disappointed that Airshows Downunder (whose origins are very similar to Warbirds Over Scone) would behave in such a manner, as are the many Warbird owners who have chosen to come to Scone in preference to the big bucks at Amberley.

Lots of aircraft parking for GA and discounted admission for Fly-in guests.
As for car displays... well I believe there will be some vintage car groups there (but it really isn't my bag... baby.)
Better shade, more "refreshments" than 1998.
