Question Impulse Info

Can anyone enlighten me either on this forum or by email on the latest at Impulse.
1/ What is the relationship with ACC now QF are pulling the strings, and how does that affect the drivers
2/ If ACC are no longer involved, who and where does the CV go to.
3/ Have the pay rates changed
4/ Can a new recruit ask for a BNE base
5/ Is the time to Command on the 1900 still around 6-8 months for a medium to high time GA Turbine Driver.
6/ Bonds - how much and how long
7/ Is there movement for the 1900 skippers onto the Jets
8/ What are the general plans for the 1900s in the future.
9/ Talking about posting before, what are the bases, and are Sydney folks being base in Newcastle, and the Bris Folks based in Brisvagas, or is it a supply and demand thing. I ask because I have a family, and am looking for a stable regional job.
Currently have a very good GA Turboprop job, but aspire for a 2 Crew IFR RPT environment.

Any bites???

Thanks in advance

dasher,

From what I have heard recruitment has slowed to a stop for the time being.

Some plans to ensure the senior B1900 guys get to advance onto the Jet in the next 12 months; the DE captains taken on recently are all going to become Training capts very soon to allow this progression, so I am told.

As always on PPRuNe, I am prepared to be corrected by those with better sources.

Re: Newcastle

Holds more charm for me than Brisvegas but beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder, as they say.

When you vacate your fantastic GA turbine job for VQ, remember who gave you the good oil!

Thanks Elk.
Can anyone else offer their opinion
1/ Is ACC still involved??
2/ Who do you send the CV to.
3/ What about the Bris Base...Whats the deal

Again, thanks Elk, and in advance to anyone else to reply..

ACC- SHOULD BE OUT OF THE PICTURE SOON AND DIRECT EMPLOYMENT BY IMPULSE WILL OCCUR SHORTLY ONCE THE EBA IS NEGOTIATED.

CV- ARE/SHOULD BE SENT TO MICHELLE LEWIS AT IMPULSE 11th STREET, SYDNEY AIRPORT.

BRIBANE- APPARENTLY CAN'T GET ENOUGH PILOTS TO GO UP THERE THE SYDNEY BASE HAS HAD A LOT OF PILOTS GO UP THERE.

dash 27,

Impulse are interviewing this week for FO 1900 drivers. I know a couple of piston drivers who are up there this week (no turbine time)

Pay starts at $28K and bond is $10K but just secured (or what ever the term is) not actually payed, for 2 years (i think)

Can't tell you much more except it is a two day interview process

Ice,
Are you sure about the 2 day interview process? Most of the pilots interviewed this year have only had to do a 30-60 minute interview (including the DE 717 FOs). Before this you also had to do a 20-30 minute sim ride.
The only regional that does do a 2 day process is Eastern (must do all the Qantas crap)and I know they are interviewing this week.

Sorry OZ, didnt mean it was a full two day interview process, just that it was spread over two days. Each days interview is about 1 hr. After reading my post again I can understand why you were confused!

No worries Ice, I know the 'pulse' is changing but it's good to see the interview process hasn't changed.
