Post Pilots - "Austrlalia's most trusted" professionals?

The Reader’s Digest 2001 “Who do you trust” annual survey of Australia’s most trusted people, professions and institutions rated pilots as our most highly regarded, along with firefighters and nurses . . . as reported in a Toyota advertisement in yesterday’s The Australian.

They must be joking !!

Most Pilots would stab their own workmates in the back if it got them to where they wanted to go.
I've seen it happen many times.

I’m with you, powerhound. What do they say in ‘Friends’? “Oh… my… God…!”

This shows one of two things:

(1) how short Joe Public’s memory really is, or
(2) most of the extraordinary vilification heaped upon pilots twelve years ago in the Australian media wasn’t really coming from the public after all.

On the other hand, it might be that Joe Public’s memory is excellent, and he sees the pilots who’ve been gracing the Australian skies these last twelve years, (unlike the ‘lazy, greedy fat cats’ they replaced, as…

(you guessed it)

… HEROES!

Here we go again. Does anything ever get posted that doesn't get related back to 89?

Apparent friends!! yes know it well.
I was waiting for help that was owed to me, only to find that we now were talking via SMS!
MMMMMMM
Still I had an idea he/she was a "fair wx friend".
I now only trust a very limited few "mates" in the game.
Those of you know who I'm talking about and yes I will continue to hold you in good regard amoungst my person.

Lawyers rated 19th out of 25 just above journalists, bankers, trade unionists, marketers, car salesman and politicians!

If "Pilots" are #1, and "Trade Unionists" are #22, what rating does a "Union Pilot" get ?
