Cool PATRIOTIC SONGS

I you are like me and have been sitting in an overseas pub before andyou hear a song that sends a tingle down the spine. It is of course a song from OZ.

So what song or singer helps you with the home sickness. Midnight Oil? Kylie Minogue?

Cool

Has to be "Land Downunder"

But you've reminded me about a song by Paul Kelly. Can't remember the name, but it's about an Aussie travelling from pub to pub all over Europe and learning how to order beer in each language - but everywhere he goes "they all look the ******* same". It was a regular play on breakfast JJJ for a while, but I think that the language was a bit much for that time of the morning...

VB,

It's actually called "Every F*cking City" and it's a cracker of a song. It's about a bloke chasing a girl around Europe while getting s*itfaced at the same time and it's a great laugh.

Most of those illegal websites have it to download, or if you're really desperate email me and i'll see what I can do.

Cheers,
TL

Anything by Crowded House (even if they were part NZ).

Sounds of Then (Gangajang??)
Great Southern Land (Icehouse)
Blue Sky Mine/Beds are Burning (Midnight Oil)
My Island Home (Christine Anu)
Hindley Street (Powderfinger)

And the one by Paul Kelly that has the line in it about flying into Sydney at night in a 747...

"Wide Open Road" by WA band the Triffids. Makes any Road Trip feel like an Odyssey.
