Talking Warbirds over Scone.

Well it's over now for another year, and I'd like to thank the organisers and those who spent so much of their time ensuring it all ran smoothly for those of us lucky enough to be able to attend and actually sit back for the most part and enjoy the commentary and displays. The organisers (etc) know who they are, and to them I say thank you for a Oct. long weekend that I'll remember for a VERY long time. Had a great time and will be back for the next one God willing.

Also a big thanks must go to the people who own the machines and brought them out for us all to admire. The aeros, the formations and the breathtaking speed and accuracy of some had to be seen to be believed.

I still reckon we won on Sunday night, we got to the roof first!

Bendo, Who won the drag race?

Seem to be shrt a couple of pprune badges too, now where did they go?

Thanks CJ!

It was nice to meet the various PPRuNers that came up and introduced themselves...
Harvey Gee, Pseudonym, Chipmunk among others. I saw DeSheeftain Overboosta there but he didn't say hello

We would like to echo 429CJs thanks, and invite anybody who was at the show to add their praise/criticism via Email to the team Debrief next week at: [email protected]

Thabks again guys

Cheers

Yeah, the foundations started-off a little suss, but that was more to do with the table being on a lean (come to think about it, the whole world was starting to lean by then). Then we discovered stickers too.

Boosta, where were you hiding?

Does anyone have any photos they would like to share with those of us that were unable to attend?

Sounds like it was a good show.

Cheers, Dave.

Dave,
I was at the airshow and took 5 rolls of film. Most of the photos came out really well. I got some really good shots of both mustangs as well as all the other stuff that took part.

I am in the process of scanning these images in. Does anyone know if I can attach these photos to a post on this Bulletin Board??.
Watch this space.....
Cheers

Have quite a few rolls of film to develop as well. Will post the pick of the bunch when I get 'em back.

Cheers Kruza & 429 CJ, much appreciated.

Kruza,

To post photos here you need to have them hosted on a web site somewhere. The bulletin board then uses a link to display the pictures. If you have them on a web site, just hit the image button when you reply and add in the web address for the picture.

Then next best option is email.

Thanks again, Dave.

Does anyone have about 7meg spare server space to host half a dozen of the best (that I have) collages of Warbirds Over Scone 2001?

I have scanned about six photos into each lay-out, and I can only get one at a time onto my website.

Hey Guys,
I have picked the best photos I took at Scone and I have scanned them in. I have a .zip file available if you want it. It has 45 pictures in it. Although 4 have decided not to play. (I have already e-mailed it to you Dave).
If you want it let me know
Cheers
Kruza
PS The scanner I used wasn't the best. The quality is OK but I have seen better.

Cool

Never mind about the spare space, I thinks me sussed it..........

Roulettes, Bird-dog (Colin Pay's - I think?), Boomerang and Judy Pay's Mustang.

Mustangs, Southern Knights, Russian Roulettes, Boomerang again.....

Sorry, I had to put the a/c I fly in there too! (KPF), George with his flag, Strikemaster, Mustang and Spitfire. I have no idea why the image has gone funny at the bottom? Anyone?

Bits and pieces

I'll have more for you for tommorrow.

429CJ... well they tell me it was a great show and ppl keep ringing me and telling me so.. but somehow I didnt get to see most of it... funny about that considering I was in one of the best positions to see it all... Maybe I was to busy...... Come to think of it i was a little busy... someone commented to me that they had tried to talk to me several times from Friday through to Sunday night and couldnt get a work in edgeways... I think I had a great time but more importantly I hope that everyone that attended had a great time and enjoyed the show. Suppose I needed the 15 hours sleep that I got on Monday night after the show.!!!!!!!!!... Once again thanks for the attendance and the praises etc it makes it all worth while and think that I might do it all again in a couple of years time . But please dont ask me for at least 8 months... Besides I have my own aeroplane to get going.

Kruza,

I think the photos must have got lost in the dark depths of cyber space. Alas they haven't come through to my account.

Thanks anyway, Dave.
