QF769 Friday night
G'day all,
Was at Perth airport Friday night and found out that QF769 was delayed from 1445 departure for Melbourne, to 2145. They said at the gate that it was due to the crew running out of crew duty hours, but in the paper on Monday it said it had a thrust reverser problem. Anyone clarify this?

Hi, I crewed this flight out of MEL.
We were called in as the previous crew ran out of hours as a result of dealing with a few problems, one of which was the trust reverser. But dispatching with a thrust reverser inop was no real problem. Small problems seemed to have compounded on this day which led to a big delayed made worse by crew duty limits. But in the end, we got everyone there, and thats the good news.
