Post WING...

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a u/s, broken, time ex wing. About the size of an F27,DC3,HERON or part of a wing there of. Come to think of it are there any aircraft kinda graveyards in Oz.

Basically want it for cheap as poss only use is for building.

Cheers,
HA

p.s. I'll beat you to it, no the planes we've bingled over the time will not work.

Hrrrrrr!!

Well there is a wing off a B200 King Air next to the Aeroclubs hangar here in Alice!

also remember the Queensland air Museum in Caloundra had a lot of Aircraft parts laying around..

There is an aircraft wrecking yard on the Gold Coast. I cannot think of there name, however if you called an engineer at coolangatta I'm sure they would put you in the right direction..

Cheers

I though I saw FZO sitting out the front of overalls the other day without a wing, you might use that one

Try the Northam aircraft restoration group, they have a Dove that is unrepairable and you might get a wing from them for nought.

HA.

Seem to remember spying a few old WW2 relics in the swamps north of Port Keats.

Someone told me that there's even a Spitty there too. Dick will have the details.

Might not be your most popular move turning it into a shed roof though....

Hey HA
Why not head on over to Wimray, pleanty of aircraft sitting idle, i'm sure you could do a deal with ray to get an entire plane!!! (minus engine)

Cool

The aircraft wreckers on the Gold Coast is Pegasus Aviation.

You may also try International Air Parts in Sydney.

Thanks for the respones very helpful.

One day when what I plan to build is built you are all invited for a brew... or ten.

p.s. CS - Now wouldn't that be easy, trying to retrive a WWII wreck from Aboriginal land in the middle of the wet in a swamp. You trying to get rid of me or something???
