Kendell announces Sale of part of it's SA operations to ASA.
Have just downloaded this from ABC Wagga :-

Kendell Airlines announces partial sale.
Part of the Wagga Wagga-based regional air company, Kendell Airlines, has been sold.
Airlines of South Australia has made the purchase, which means Kendell will resume its full operational capacity across South Australia.
The sale follows negotiations between Airlines of South Australia and the administrators of Ansett.
The price of the deal is being kept confidential.
The acquisition is expected to create up to 100 jobs, with priority being given to rehiring former Kendell and Ansett staff in South Australia.
There is no further news on the sale of the Wagga home base of the Kendell operation, or of the redundancy offer staff have been waiting on for more than a month.
After the Ansett collapse, the administrator expressed hope Kendell would be sold as a going concern, but the South Australian move means the operation could be further broken up.

It would appear that ASA were a little enthusiastic with there announcement, which was made before the Administrator made his.
Good Luck to all concerned.

This link is not working for some reason. You will have to go into main menu
Then at the left column click on "Australia/Local News"
Then go through the centre panel to New South Wales.
Under the heading "Regional News" click on
Wagg Wagga and Riverina. This does work.

Look at the time of the news release. I think you will find that by midday ASA were lying low & were no longer in favour with the administrators. If you also look at the ADL section on the ABC news you'll find a posting which more credibly contains quotes from the administrators denieing the sale. ASA management jumped the gun & have shot themselves in the foot in the process. Just a thought "where are the funds coming from to sustain such a buyout?".

Rural Rat,
G'Day me thinks the bubble is about to burst, this paves for the way for a beak up and the sale of KD NSW to the NSW Country marketing board to be absorbed by ZL.
Even though it has been denied by the Administrator, there must be some grounding to it......
Will ring
