Jabbadfatt,. .A 152 on finals for Rwy 24L flipped over on its roof on landing, with an instructor.. .Another 152 had a prop strike after taxing very fast whilst going to help someone else who flipped a week later.. .Then there is this one that occured last week. That's all I can remember for the moment.

Heard word today from very reliable source that the C172 wasn't actually cleared to land, it was on final for 24L, then decided to change to the correct runway on short final, and .....
As for sun in the eyes I landed just after six today and the sun was not in my eyes enough to cause loss of visual reference.
Non compliance with correct MBZ procedures will continue to be a problem because the procedures change suddenly at what can be a very busy time of day. In an ideal world everyone would read their ERSA and know what to do, but unfortunately this isn't an ideal world and these sorts of things have been happening since the tower hours were reduced. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
Watch this space, it looks like finally something might be done about this. I hear that brown smelly stuff is hitting fans left, right and centre.
. .Looks like T isn't going to get his Jandakot McDonald's. There's one at Southlands, T, if you're hungry.

RS Cowboy,. .Thanks for the info but I believe your slightly incorrect concerning the flipped 152. The student was solo, NOT with an instructor (in VH-FWM I believe).
I am also unaware of the prop strike concerning the speeding 152 (sure it was a 'club' plane?). Anyway i'll check it out - I'll ask a couple of friends who I did theory courses with who now work for 'The Club'.

Jeez guanty, you had to go and make it a challenge. Now I'm not a real pilot. I had a go at that chewing gum and walking at the same time and its not as easy as it looks.
IJ, you could always shoot him and stick him in his own lunch box.
