king bonza. .As you seem to have been swamped by replies, I thought I might add my two bobs' worth.. .In Aus or OS?. .Delta in Aus give good rates, as most of the big ones do, just by showing your ID card.. .Some of the special rates are the same as autoclub discounts. Often the standby rate is pretty good, just depends on availability.. .Also depends on how long, where etc.. .Occasionaly a ferry comes along, although they are either yesterday or tomorrow and often in the wrong direction.. .Try looking at the ASU travel guide. You can get a free trial internet access for it and it lists discounts in car hire, accommodation and tours all around the world. Also try Breakaway or similar.. .Send me an email if you would like any more details.. .Cheers

Hertz do pretty good rates for QF crew - not sure about other airlines. If you're looking at hiring a car overseas, have a good look at pre-booking here at home - you can potentially save a lot of money.
