Ansett Administrators resign
The Administrators from Price Waterhouse Coopers have just resigned, citing a conflict of interest.
New administrators (Andersen's)? have been appointed to take over this role.
What effect will this have on the attempts to get AN up and running?
Any experts care to comment ??

nasa,
Yes I saw that too, on Sky News they said it was because the ACTU did not trust them, as they had worked for Air NZ previously, thus the possible conflict of interest???
Best regards,

Maybe Air NZ will use them now, think that they will need someone VERY soon too........

Arthur Anderson confirmed as the new Administrator as from Monday evening. Creditors' Meeting will be rescheduled to later in the week. This may appear to some as a setback, but we need to be patient to achieve the best possible outcome. Andersons acknowledged by the ACTU as being sympathetic to the employees' cause, as Administrators not LIQUIDATORS.

"Ansett possibly back in the air soon", 16/9.

Makes you wonder if the ACTU wants Ansett up & running again in some form or another?
In the 80's here we (NZ) were very unionisned, unfortuately in the end the workers were the ones who got dicked as it got to the point where companies couldn't take a p#iss without union approval.
So along came the Employement Relations Act & the power went all to the companies.

Ansett could have been flying a freighter only operation today, however the unions in their wisdom saw a conflict of interest across the Tasman.
Yet Arthur Anderson are the accounting firm for Hazelton, so this makes Arthur Anderson a creditor.
So they must be more easily manipulated by the ACTU.
Do the ACTU actually want AN to fly again?
