Could the buyers be a previous YC Company Secretary, a Brasilia agent and the previous owner of Tillair in NT, owner of VH-TLZ?

The new buyers of Flight West Airlines will not be buying the aircraft. But they will be able to lease 3 of the former Flight West Aircraft.

Heard from very good source at Sunstate (don't know how they found out)that Aeromil, the owners of Sunshine Express are definitely part of the sydnicate. Apparently the "new" Flight West will be looking at expanding the F100 fleet.. .. .So will Sunshine Express continue operating with Qantas or will the two airlines be merged and operate as an independant regional airline?

Ok... I dont have much to base these guesses on. I know that, so please go easy on me.... .. .A- Aeromil (Sunshine Exp). .E.L - East-land air. .S- Singapore Airlines. .C.F - Wouldnt have a clue!. .. .Any thoughts to prove me wrong or right? Would be interested.... .. .Either way, I think this is great news for Flight West and QLD. . .. .P.S. What are opinions of Mac-air getting involved in the 'consortium'?

Yes, they may be the usual suspects... can anyone else think who else it might be? Im edging to know, but stumped, and impatient... I guess I will just have to wait... Does anyone ever consider how much the aviation industry is like an episode of Bold and the beautiful?? Who's sleeping with who?? Find out next week... Oh, the suspense!. .(Sorry, in a bit of a strange mood today????). .Cheers. .Will

I wonder if Junior and the 'Family' have managed to have Dad's will overturned so the remainder of the staff entitlements dont come from the 'Family Estate'. FH states that staff may receive only 2c in the $ of their redundancy pay after the sale goes through. It's been 9 months now and still no pay. I know who's been s(*^%$#.

Cool

Sharpie, check your email for contact details for Squadron Leader Robert Henry Maxwell Gibbes DSO DFC and Bar (who still enjoys a drink on a hot day), and his wife, Jeanie.. .. .It's a great idea to name the F-28 after Bobby. He was a true seat of the pants PNG aviation pioneer!. . . . [ 23 March 2002, 01:05: Message edited by: Torres ]

Well done Pixie! For an airline which doesn't normally name its aeroplanes (I think the first A310 was the sole exception?) naming an aeroplane after Bobby Gibbes is a fine gesture. That they have decided to retain this name which was originally bestowed on the aeroplane by Flight West earns double points in my book. Congratulations to the person who thought of it.

Cool

I thought the Gooney Bird outside Air Niugini Haus, named after Larry Blackman, was the first aircraft ever named by Pixie - even though it was unveiled with CBG's monica on it.. .. .What condition is it in Sharpie? Must be full of bird sh!t by now!
