Arrow Airline flying in Australia - for the privileged few?

It would seem to me, that with the death of Ansett and the consequent unemployment of her pilots, preceded by the release onto the market some 11 years ago, of another 1300 Australian airline pilots, that cumulatively there must be MORE Aussie airline pilots working overseas, or unemployed, than there are working in Oz.. .. .Would this be correct? Tally up the QF and Virgin Blue boys and girls and tell me if it comes to more than the (approx) 1900 who are o/s or on the dole.. .. .Any wonder then that salaries are where they are now, and have no REAL prospect of rising significantly any time soon.. .Wasn`t some airline pilot (cum "psychologist") trying to expound his theory on "world salaries" for pilots?. .Step forward those unemployeds who would be willing to accept say $60k p.a. flat - no hour cap or o/t - for the opportunity to stay in Oz? . .. .Did I feel the earth move??!!

Kaptin M,. .. .Last look at the Qantas seniority list shows around 2100 pilots, this doesn't even include Qantas Link and around 60 ex Ansett pilots on contract with us or those in NZ with AWAS on Qantas contract.
