Smile Let's try a positive post

With all the hatred between "before" and "after" 89ers, Impulse blokes being branded everthing under the sun, National Jet/ Southern's future, discount Freedom, AN NZ, AN OZ and generally Aussie Pilots venting their dislikes towards each other on this forum.... .. .I wish to paint a picture of optimism.. .Over here in Asia.. A lot of operators are gearing up for Aviation's climb out of the doldrums. . .From what I read on D&G it might be time to swallow the medicine cabinet. From what I see over here: make that the liquor cabinet(Celebrate). .. .There is still a dramatic shortage of experienced Pilots. And for the wannabe's: I've seen a few ex-Aussie GA instructors now sitting in the Right seat of China Southern 767's. . .The Airlines in China are employing some Australian/NZ Pilots because of China's entry into the WTO (Great PR stunt). .The leasing companies have the local hotels booked out. And the days of the Chinese crew flying internationally being baby-sat by a translater are numbered. English speaking Pilots are needed and this demand should skyrocket (Still legal in China too-skyrockets). .So if you intend to stay in OZ or NZ... Stop the rot of doom and gloom.. .Stop wasting your energy fighting each other, so that the surviving companies save their dollars through your terms and conditions(Not through their basic efficiency) . .All the QF folks should see the writing on the wall and band together. All the Baby QF's representative unions from the AFAP to the IPC should be negotiating their futures with the help of AIPA. . .For the rest that have lost their jobs due to bungling by management and unreasonable Unions ... Well put a CV together, send it to the agencies, send it to the Companies and don't look back. Be prepared for a new era in Aviation!. .. .If you are interested in Asian Aviation, BS in OZ or my email makes you sick... Post a reply. .. .email : [email protected]

Very refreshing to read a post like yours LP.. .. .As an Ex-Ansett driver with little or no direction at the moment I find the prospect of leaving the aviation industry altogether an easier option when I think of all the venom been thrown around.. .. .I have read the thread "Ansett,TAA the good old days" and was appalled that the men of then couldn't even reminise without some people sledging them.. .. .Airline Aviation is indeed a very different world these days and there would be very few Pilots who would say that all the changes have been to the benifit of the profession.. .. .For those with Asia in mind it is encouraging to read views such as yours. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" />

If only some of you knew exactly WHO LP is!! . .I`m a little surprised he has enough time to post here on PRUNE, as I thought he would have been too busy vetting applications from prospective pilot applicants.. .Take a hint and email him if you`re interested in working in that area of the world,. .. .He got da power!

Hopefully positions for Turbopropers onto Dornier Jets towards the end of the year. No promises!. .Agencies doing most of the recruitment at this point.

What a great thread. At last a small glimmer of sunshine comming over the horizon.. .. .This thread is typical of LP, one of the most motivational and encouraging blokes you'll ever meet in aviation.. .. .LePilot, what are the prspects like for GA drivers hoping to get into their first jet/turbo prop. There are lots of GA drivers around here with 1000 - 3000 hrs but no time above 5700kg.. .. .Good to see you doing well mate.. .. .OG3
