SQ and BA
How come if you visit BA's website and put in Sin to LHR you end up flying not BA, not QF but SQ - does anyone no what is going on there - either BA's computer has gone mad or some alliance has been struck between BA and SQ - can anyone shed any light on this?
BA have just dropped their BABS Reservation System after 30 years and migrated to the AMADEUS System on the 24th Feb 2002. Either some teething problems at present or carrier bias not permitted.. .. .I understand QF drop QANTAM later this year and will also move to AMADEUS.. .. .AN/NZ were also going to close their respective reservation systems and move to AMADEUS.
Buster, There does not appear to be any relationship between AMADEUS and Sabre.. .. .AMADEUS is head quartered in Madrid with Air France (23.36%) Iberia (18.28%) Lufthansa (18.28%) being the principal shareholders. The balance is owned by the public.. .. .With 8 of the 15 Star Alliance airlines now using AMADEUS I doubt if SQ would use Sabre.

I stand corrected on the ownership of Amadeus, but I know SQ are going to Sabre for "other" products. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
