Unhappy Kendell RIP

Kendell Airlines along with Ansett, and all Regionals
have been grounded. Like all of my colleagues, we have been told at this stage there is no money for wages, great!.
Anyway to all my work mates, and friends with Ansett all the best, if you ever get thirsty dont hesitate to give me a call.

Cheers

Fludey

Ps. Work wanted.

If any one had said to me that 16 000 Australians would be sacked through kiwi mismanagement (and the Australian government would standby idle) and that 4 jet transport aircraft would crash causing >10000 lives to be lost, all in the same week I would have called them crazy.

My views on society are for ever changed.

Good luck to all staff in AN and it's regionals.

Regards

FFRATS.

Condolances to all the staff at AN and her subsidiaries; a black day in Australian aviation.

Condolances to all my GA colleagues who have just had any hope of career advencement wiped out for the forseeable future. My own 5-year career took a 4-year step back this morning.

What a week.

Very sad.

I had no idea these once independant companies had been hoovered up completely by Air Titanic. Another example of "all-the-eggs-in-one-basket" mentality by big companies that seem to care more about how bigger they get than whether the business is sound or not.

How big they are directly proportional to the bonuses the goons on the board get???

I noticed on another post regarding the Ansett debarcle that at least some of the employees of the Ansett group received their wages yesterday.

On checking my account this morning it was immediately obvious that I have not been paid.

I've tried the 1800 staff number without success.

So once again I turn to my usual source of infromation PPRuNe for some information.

1. Has anyone at KD been paid today?

2. If not has anyone heard anything from the 1800 number, or any other source, regarding payment of wages?

3. Where is the drown your sorrows **** -up being held? I'M THERE!!!!!

I think I'll now go and lie down on the tarmac behind the aircraft carrying that criminal that Kiwi's call a Prime Minister.

IsDon, I just posted this on the other thread....

Ray Dar, I've just been given the news that some people are seeing pay in their bank balance.
There is a rumour that Member's Australia wo't be putting pay in until tomorrow. I've tried to contact MACU, but I've not gleaned any further information.
If I hear anything more concrete, I'll let you know.

Thanks GG. I'm heading back to ML tonight, by light plane. Where will the proposed drown of sorrows party be?

Ok, I've just rec'd some scetchy details of an email sent to All staff, just moments ago, saying that pay has gone into bank accounts, and any accounts not reflecting this was because of normal bank processing matters.

This is the only information I have. As I imagine a number of staff have NO access to the internal email at the moment, I don't know how else you were expected to be given this information.

It isn't just Ansett that has been lost, it is all the airlines that have been absorbed into the group over time.
Vale:
East-West Airlines
Airlines of N.S.W.
Airlines of W.A.
Airlines of S.A.
Skywest
Kendell
Hazelton Airlines
Aeropelican
And any others absorbed in better times to have there remains desicrated by today's events.
My heart goes out to all employees affected by this.

What happens to all the aircraft that had overnighted away from base? Are they returned or grounded where they lie?

My condolences to all the Ansett & company employees & to all those family who lost people in the US..

This indeed has been a black week for aviation...

Just got a phone call from Clare at KD crewing to see if I needed transport/accom/etc.

Apparently no KD staff have been paid their monthly pay today.

I obviously made myself available should I be required to crew anything over the next few days, even without pay for the time being.

My condolences to all caught up in this debarcle.

I for one am taking solace in the example set by the likes of Clare and others in crewing who are obviously at work today, knowing they haven't been paid, trying to sort this mess out.

When this is all sorted out, and it will be, hopefully in the short term. It is in all of our interests to do what we can by putting the bitterness we all feel aside to get out of the hole the kiwis have put us in.

Still no news on the p155 up.

Thanks KD for giving me a start in this excellent industry. As someone hoping to be a part of this industry for many more years, it is quite disheartening to see the lows already.

KD is a top company full of great people, none of whom deserve this s**t we're going through right now. People always willing to give advice and share a laugh, and help keep you pointed in the right direction.

IsDon, negative on the pay still, at 1530EST. BTW, have heard of a few of hopefully many p**s-ups already being organised here in SYD.

Isn't it ironic that AN finally pulled the pin today, the same day (14th) that many have come to know as the $$$ day each month. The bloody Kiwi's bled the airline right up until the last possible minute. Not surprising behaviour given their performance in recent times.

The management of Air NZ and the NZ govt are, in my eyes, almost comparable to another group of people in the world's spotlight right now. You may not have killed thousands of people, but nonetheless you've killed a great airline which provides life to thousands of people.
