Post Unusual a/c out of YPPH today

Hi all,

Happened to see a 767/A320 (maybe) departing to the east today about 1600WST, and it was all white, no logo on the tail. Just a little unusual for PPH thats all.
Was wondering if anyone could give any info on what a/c it was/rego.

Any takers

P.S saw it flying over while driving hence why I'm not sure what type it was

It may be one of the two ex-AN B767-300's that the flying Wallaby has taken a short term lease on. I believe that they do not have the red tail (white paint over the AN tail paint scheme) just "QANTAS" in black on the forward fuselage. I believe that these aircraft are only on lease until the B737-800's arrive early next year. GB

I heard VH-NOA (One of the Ansett Worldwide 767's) on the radio coming into Perth around 1430 WST.

According to the latest Australian Aviation Qantas were looking at leasing it.

I believe the two latest 767's for Ansett (BZI & BZM) were delivered but never operated 'in anger.' I think these are the two in Auckland.

VH-NOA is an all white B767 which is being operated for QF, without the red roo at present. It was in Adelaide this morning, and departed at 0945

I saw it in the jet base on Tuesday. The other day I also saw something which looked like a 737 with these whopping great winglets hanging of it. Is that one of those BBJs?

I think the thread needs a new title...

PLANE SPOTTERS springs to mind.

Quite amazing how everyone seems so bothered by a white a/c leaving PH.......

Sorry N one that I saw something unusual and just was a little interested.

I forgot that you are not allowed to be interested in aviation, even if you are involved with it!

Unusual?

A white 76 taking off at Perth? Whats the next unusual sighting going to be, a Cessna departing Jandakot?

I would have thought that a 767 or similar aircraft without a logo on the tail would be fair grounds to ask the question? If you don't like the question then don't respond to it. Not everyone knows the latest in's and out's of the hybrid jets getting around at the moment.

Great thing about D&G, ask a question and you will quite often get everything except a fair and sensible answer.
