I really am bowled over by the GREAT response I've had. Think I've e-mailed everyone I could and replied to everyone who took time out to contact me.
Shame it's all been called off.
Naaaah. Only kidding.
Can't believe I leave England a week Saturday. It would all be like a wonderful dream if I wasn't so sh!t scared. Figured if I can fly OK from A to B, then B to C can only be easier. Can't it?
Only got three weeks with the Archer. And only a PPLer too. Probably bitten off more than I can chew. Will end up missing out so much as is the way of things, but hey, I've got a bundle of phone numbers and tons of inspiration. Apologies to any I don't call, keep an eye out for a thread when I get back. To those lucky(?) few that I get to meet, get those tinnies cold for me.
Thank you, and good night.

WGW...it's me with the corrupted hotmail accout - or it only does it to some people though...others with the same ISPs as yours get messages just fine.
Have put a thread in computers and internet thread re the problem....
I also mentioned that if you want more info on the top end from the Kimberley eastwards to the QLD border, I have pages of GPS points of amazing gorges, the location of the best croc spotting, and good bush airstips beside great pubs if you want. I'll send it from another account I think though

The airfield is Shute Harbour.
Is is nestled in the hills and can be quite a demanding approach on windy days. Prior permission is required (as is a briefing on procedures of not overflying the Shute houses on departure, and where to do runups so you don't wake caravan park residents etc.). I don't have the aerodrome operator's number on me, but it should be in the ALA guide.
Failing that call Island Air Taxis who operate from there and they should be able to pass on the details.
The cafe there does a damn good toasted ham and cheese sandwhich too.
Is the said subject of the seeing joining you on tour?
