ANSETT BANS PPRUNE
Smart Filter :Access to this site has been denied.
. .No kidding,Pprune has been banned by incensed management.
Contacted IT and they said it is unlikely to ever return.Sensitivities of the rumours on Pprune were a major factor.
Pleaded they maintain access as AN staff mushrooms. They agreed with laughter but maintained orders from high up in the .......DEPT.
Guess!

Guess!
If Ansett/TESNA senior management are so afraid of information freely circulated via the Internet and accessible to everybody outside the Ansett IT system (including off-duty Ansett employees), then the organisation is sicker than we can possibly imagine.
This bodes ill for the future of any form of re-born Ansett. It ensures that Ansett will "leak" more profusely than a cold SR-71 being refuelled.

Moderate, Modest & Mild.

Most of the so-called "rumours" are newspaper articles, and discussion thereof. If in fact they are ONLY rumours, it should be like water off a duck's back!
Has TESNA/M&M's also banned staff from reading The Australian, The Age, SMH etc, and has access to those sites been similarly blocked?
Well, in spite of TESNA/M&M's's collective thin skins, I guess PPRuNe and the newspaper media will continue indefinitely.
Whereas Ansett's ULTIMATE fate is now 7 days away from realisation!

Of course, AN are not the first, as I understand that the Hamburger mob also don't like PPRuNe
If you don't believe me, just type in their name in a thread and see what happens, and that's here, so imagine if you will, doing it thru their system

Smart Fliter is rather dumb actually, so try using the IP address instead of the domain name.
Don't know the IP address of PPRuNe?
type this in the browser address http://209.25.243.164

They should just threaten to sue like DJ and the moderators would take all the AN stories off. Opps, forgot, they have no money, and no one takes them seriously any more.

Nose wheel - I think that the intention of this thread was to highlight the management teams decision making skills.
I think Optus some it up nicely. YES!

TTT- they're the ones that don't fly but tell others how to. They also tell the biggest lies. They are self appointed, the least qualified for their positions and lack credibility both within & without Ansett. They are the ones everyone laughs at after they have left the room.

Surely the positions are advertised and a certain amount of scrutiny goes into selecting the right candidate. That is normal operating in any corporate structure. They had better keep an eye on this or they could go broke! .

Did you leave the and off the end, it would have made an excruciatingly droll joke.
Otherwise you would be right.
I would normally be tempted to say "who cares" but my concern for our fellow aviation professionals there, prevents me. . .How else are they to stay in touch with reality with management who seem to be unable to recognise or handle it.

Unfortunately there are people who do not recognise when they have reached their level of incompetence (yes I mean incompetence) These are the very ones who strive even harder to reach even greater levels of incompetence and quite often succeed in that endeavour.
