Grade Four English
The low standard of some of the written grammar from fellow professionals is astounding. Although there are many grammatical errors within these posts (some intentional, others just lazy), these are the ones that particularly bug me:
Their - is possessive;
They're - is an abbreviation of "they are"; and
There - somewhere not here.
For example: "They're a bit silly at Qantas. Their aeroplane is on that golf course over there."
Even my primary school child knows the difference.

The Captain, who’s hare was standing on end, applied the emergency break and weighted with baited breath. “I’m definately fore it this time”, he thought to himself without speaking. “Their probably likely to suspend us awl in won fowl swoop”, he thought again as an afterthought.
“I myself personally think were never ever going to here the end of this in our entire lives”, said the FO. “I should of taken over when the wheel’s started aquaplaning.” “Speaking of water, does this wet you’re appetite’s?”, said the FA, offerring some snack’s out of the draw. “I wont have youse dye of starvation, irregardless of why were hear.”
In the distance, a siren whaled ….

Well, i do'nt now what youse are one about. Every one that reads this forim nows that pilots and doctors to, are educated at the same standard an shuld be payed the same. . .Its' knot that easy to become a pilot, an theirs no easy weigh - butt geting yore first job is the hardest, and then theirs' lots of operators out their that will take an advantage to you if you let them. There a dim a dozen!. .Still it dose'nt get me down, i just keep on righting moor an moor aplicashions because i now that im the write won four the job!
